In Liberia, oxytocin is the preferred medicine for prevention and treatment of postpartum hemorrhage (PPH); however, ensuring its quality throughout the supply chain remains a challenge. Liberia's Ministry of Health has partnered with the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program-Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project to ensure oxytocin quality through its integration into the vaccine cold chain and expanded use of misoprostol for PPH in settings without available cold storage options.
