Description

In 2023, Ghana’s Ministry of Health, Ghana Health Service, local organization Health Access Network, and the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program-Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project conducted a comprehensive review of the newborn respiratory ecosystem by assessing availability and functionality of newborn medical devices, associated commodities, and provider capacity in Ghana. This brief spotlights key findings from the review, including the use of certain therapies and equipment for newborn oxygen, gaps in newborn respiratory services, and maintenance of devices for newborn respiratory care.
