GHSC-PSM is improving laboratory networks across the globe with procurement and supply management best practices. Through training and close collaboration, countries that are taking the Laboratory Network Approach are experiencing a more efficient and effective procurement and supply chain management cycle, and ultimately improving health outcomes. This quick reference guide describes how the Approach has led to cost-savings and increased testing and treatment for more patients, among many other benefits for the implementing countries. It takes readers through the four main elements of the procurement and supply chain management cycle: optimizing laboratory networks; forecasting and supply planning; procurement and strategic sourcing; and performance management.
